Young women tackling injustice

Our Media students have once again begun work with Exposure Media, a youth charity and some other local schools to create a new project, with the initial idea to be focused around human trafficking and slavery. Year 12 and 13 Media students are currently working hard on the completion of their final coursework pieces for A Level. The coursework, which counts as 50% of the final grade, is on music videos or film openings, and focus on and address modern day issues.

This is on the back of some excellent work last year by Year 13, which resulted in the film Sticks and Phones, about Cyber-Bullying, which was shown at the recent Southbank Centre’s Youth Film Festival.
